Personality: 

     Naomi can be described as erratic. She is a very happy-go-lucky person who loves to smile and laugh, very similar to the Strawhats. She loves to tease people in both romantic/erotic and humorous ways. She's not extremely vain, but does take care of her appearance and hygiene and appreciates simple luxuries. Naomi is a lover of men; similar to Sanji, yet not as desperate. If she finds a man attractive, enemy or not, she will flirt casually with them. (She has a uniquely odd taste in men sometimes).

     Despite her friendly personality, Naomi also has a dark side that developed during her childhood. Naomi has had a bad history with being easily provoked, ultimately harming someone when there was no reason to. This worried the Strawhats for many reasons and Luffy became very angry when she would harm someone who didn't actually threaten them. She admits that she's "not all there" in the head sometimes, but will show mercy when ordered by her crew members; usually they have to direct her not to pull her guns on someone unless the physically attack. Her excuse for being so alert and trigger happy (now as a Strawhat), is because she's protective. Her trigger happy, ruthless persona when she was younger, was because that was all she knew to do (kill and harm) as a Red Raider. Now she finally has some type of meaning for her taboo customs, and that is to protect the ones she most cares for as she couldn't protect her loved ones in the past. She would never forgive herself for letting her loved ones be taken away from her a second time. She will not sit by and allow it to happen, tis why she's so forward and erratic. Kill the enemy before they can kill her and her friends/family.

     Chopper gives her brief therapy sessions on what to do and what not to do in certain situations. The Strawhats are trying to reverse a deep psychological problem that was never fixed as she aged, and she more than appreciates their kindness and help.

Background Bio:    Naomi was born on a tropical island in the East Blue called "Mizushima Island." Her ancestors were the first the inhabit the island, hence her last name and the island's name. At the age of 7, her home island was invaded by the "Red Raiders." They were pretty vicious pirates, they completely demolished the island and rendered it uninhabitable (according to them).

    Many of the Islanders were murdered and whatever children that hadn't died or were on the verge of dying, were abducted. Most of the sick and weak children were sold off into slavery, but the ones that were healthy and strong willed were kept to become apart of the Red Raider's crew. Over the years, the children died off from sickness and battle injuries or happened to escape while docked at a port. Naomi seemed to be the only survivor that was still aboard. She missed many chances to escape, but it was hard when the Captain kept a close watch on her in particular.

    Naomi's dramatic experience as a child; unable to protect her family, having her home destroyed and seeing everyone she knew killed only to be abducted by those same exact people created a boiling cauldron of hatred deep within her over the years. She became violent, she became angry, vicious, erratic, crazy, unpredictable. Being forced to live with the people who took everything from her wore her down emotionally. Her happiness dwindled, her laughs and smiles faded. At the young age of 8, she took up arms as a Red Raider. Over the years, she slowly became a superb gunslinger, and at the age of 19, she finally took her revenge on the people who destroyed her life 12 years prior.

     Within the ship of the Red Raiders, Naomi hid explosives throughout it. A quiet onslaught in the middle of the night as a rogue seeking revenge. The first to go were the people on watch then she moved to slitting the throats of sleeping crew members. Anyone who awoke she'd have to shoot. Anyone who came too close to restraining her, she'd have to use her wind and fire wheel to attack them until she gained enough distance to open fire on them. Seconds before the ship was set to detonate, she was able to abandon ship safely, hoping that her onslaught had killed everyone off.

    For five days, Naomi drifted on ship debris through out the East Blue on the verge of death. It was Sanji who inevitably saved her. As the Going Mary set off on their new voyage after leaving Nami's home island and destroying Arlong Park, the blond chef caught glimpse of a woman floating on ship debris. At the time he hadn't realized how bad shape she actually was in, yet Nami and Sanji were able to stabilize Naomi until they reached their next destination.

Native Territory Extended:   Mizushima Island was a medium sized oasis island in the East Blue. Naomi's ancestors were the first to inhabit the island, and it grew as sailors and more goodhearted pirates sailed past, evidently looking for a new home or to start a family or whatever their reason may have been. Mizushima Island became very multicultural as people from all over settled there to live, yet they also developed customs of their own.

    Mizushima Island was very tropical. Fresh water rivers and waterfalls flowed abundantly on that island. The water was what drew people to love it so much. It was the most clear, fresh, cold, refreshing and sparkling water any human could witness in the East Blue. There were many tropical trees, most contained some type of fruit or nut. The most common housing was hut styled homes, they weren't shacks or crappy, they were very beautiful and you could find those types of homes throughout the whole island. Near the beachhead, within the forests, along rivers and near lakes and waterfalls. The small mountain range that Mizushima Island had was were the main city laid. Those buildings and homes were blocky and seemingly stacked on top of one another. (Similar to Naples, Italy).

    Island descendants usually have tanned skin with light colored hair and eyes. But, since it has many people from many backgrounds, you can find pretty much every mix of people living there. Traditions included facial tattoos and tropical clothing. Here is a similar Islander bathing suit fashion. Other traditional clothing included skirts made of grass and ankles and wrists to be decorated with shells and grass as well. Skirts didn't always have to be made of dried grass, but a light fabric material as well. On the chest men would wear light colored vests decorated with beads or nothing at all and their torso would instead be decorated with tribal markings in colored paint. Females would wear colored bandeau's, or tops made from beads and shells as well as colorful vests. Sandals are a common shoe, but you can also commonly find Islanders without shoes.

    Since Mizushima Island is so diverse, many original customs slowly faded out. Festivals were held to honor those customs and the appreciation of such diversity everyone brought to the Island. Seeing as Mizushima Island was so diverse, Naomi was what you'd call a mutt and she was very interested in all these different cultures. ((Her last name is Japanese, yet her first and middle name are western. She loves oriental clothing and objects, yet she also wields western guns.))

Weapons Extended:  Naomi wields two different guns. One is a black powder flintlock gun, the handle is a dark cherry wood that has elegant designs in silver. The barrel of this gun is also silver. Her pepperbox revolver is the same except gold.

    When she can't use her guns and gets caught up in close range combat, she results to her blade. She owns a Wind and Fire Wheel, usually you should have two, but she only has one so she can keep one gun in her hand and the wheel in the other. The wheel is made of steel but has golden accents.
